A picture of the author Harry P0tt01 holds degrees in both business and engineering from the University of California (Berkley).

After many years in defense electronics, he entered the world of small business accounting by joining Intuit's Technical Support group as a QuickBooks expert.  For nearly two years he fielded questions from a multitude of QuickBooks users and became aware of the need for this book.
Since his "retirement," Harry has remained active in several on-line discussion groups, interacting with more QuickBooks users and providing answers to their problems.  He views writing not as an end, but a means.

With this book, he passes on his years of knowledge and experience to you, the small business owners, with the hope that he can help you get the most from QuickBooks for yourselves and for your businesses.

The author's goal:
Should I come into your office, I would hope to find this book in a well worn condition: dog-eared, highlighted, underlined, and augmented with many hand-written notes, a constant and trusted companion.
