| Florida C. P. A. Wins World's Top QuickBooks Prize
Michael Block, a Fort Lauderdale C. P. A., and his Block Tax Team, won first prize as the worlds highest ranking pre-release beta testing team for the new QuickBooks (6.0). QuickBooks is the best selling small-business computer accounting program. According to independent surveys, more than 75% of the small-business accounting program users use QuickBooks. Early sales of the new 6.0 version have been far above expectations, partly due to its long-awaited multi-user feature on which tests concentrated. Block and his Block Tax Team spent more than 1,200 hours finding program problems in the new QuickBooks so they could be fixed before public sales. Block met with QuickBooks test personnel at their California headquarters to further insure the successful new QuickBooks release. Block is now offering free QuickBooks seminars, reviews, and program installation. He has specialized in QuickBooks accounting and bookkeeping for seven years. As a QuickBooks Professional Advisor, he provides free QuickBooks answers on this web site, and to Internet newsgroups, like alt.accounting, and biz.comp.accounting (which he moderates). Block is best known for his thirty years of tax cutting efforts. This former Port Everglades Commissioner, gave back his government salary to cut taxes. He also created, legalized, and led the Florida Constitutional petition drives for "No New Taxes Without Voter Approval", Revenue Limits and Citizens Choice on Government Revenue. His ads and colorful Oakland Park Boulevard sign use the universal NO symbol and the word Taxes.
